Rise Privacy Policy

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

Rise (rise.potesco.io) is a bullpen charting app for fastpitch softball coaches, players and parents, run by [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME] ("we", "us"). This policy explains:

  • what we collect
  • why we collect it
  • who we share it with
  • the choices you have

Who uses Rise

  • Coaches create an account and a team, and add pitchers.
    • Each team has one owner.
    • Each team has one coach account, on every plan.
  • Players aged 13 and over can get their own login from an invite link sent by their coach. The login is tied to one pitcher, so they can log their own sets. (Rise Team plan) Players under 13 (or with no birth date) can get a login only after a linked parent has given consent in Rise and approved that login.
  • Parents can get a login from an invite link, tied to their own pitcher(s), to run at-home bullpens and follow progress. (Rise Team plan)
  • Public share link (all plans). A coach can turn on a read-only share link for a pitcher, which needs no login. Sharing is off until the coach turns it on. When this policy took effect, every existing share link was turned off, and coaches choose which to turn back on.

Many pitchers are minors. See "Children and young athletes" below.

What we collect

From coaches

  • Account details:
    • name and email address
    • password, handled by our sign-in provider, or sign-in through Google
  • Team details: team name, and on Rise Team a logo and team colors.
  • Payment details for Rise Team: handled by Stripe.
    • We get a customer ID, which plan you bought, payment status and dates, and the billing address Stripe uses to work out sales tax.
    • We don't see or store your full card number.
  • A temporary confirmation that you have a parent's or guardian's permission for each pitcher you add, with the date. A parent still needs to give consent in Rise.

About pitchers (entered by coaches, or by players with a login)

  • The pitcher's name, as the coach types it. No email is needed to add a pitcher. We suggest first name and last initial.
  • The age or date of birth, if entered. Rise uses it to apply the under-13 rule.
  • Pitch data:
    • ball or strike for each pitch
    • pitch type
    • sets
    • session dates, times and length
    • optional notes
    • fatigue and confidence ratings
  • Things Rise works out from that data:
    • accuracy, levels and medals
    • weekly pitch goal progress
    • readiness tips for newer pitchers (Levels 1–3) and the readiness score (Level 4 and up)
    • fatigue resistance (late-session vs early-session strike %)
  • Mechanics videos (if the camera feature is used):
    • short pitching clips recorded in the app
    • body-position (pose) measurements worked out from them
    • Clips are deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • Game stats (if the import feature is used): stat sheets or screenshots a coach uploads, and the numbers read from them.

From invited parents and players

  • Email address, and the account details they set up when accepting an invite.
  • For players: date of birth or age.
  • Bullpen data parents or players log (sessions, sets, pitches), and who logged it.

Automatically

  • Basic technical data needed to run the app, such as device and browser type, and logs of errors and sign-ins.
  • Data stored on your device: your in-progress bullpen is saved in your browser so it isn't lost if the signal drops. It's sent to our servers when you save with a connection. Rise needs a connection to load and save data.
  • Analytics: our site uses an analytics script from our app platform, Lovable, to count visits and page views. [Describe exactly what it collects and whether it sets cookies, once confirmed with Lovable.] We don't use advertising cookies or ad trackers.

How we use it

  • To run Rise:
    • charting and saving
    • progress charts, levels, medals, readiness and comparisons
    • mechanics review and game-stat import
    • sharing with parents
  • To produce AI-generated tips and summaries (see below).
  • To send emails:
    • Service emails: invites, sign-in emails, payment receipts, the season renewal reminder (2 weeks before a season ends), and plan-change notices such as the early-team reminder before June 30, 2027.
    • Welcome and invite emails, and a Monday summary email for coaches. These are on by default, and you can turn each one off. Any other email type stays off unless you choose to receive it.
  • To process Rise Team payments, calculate sales tax, and manage plans.
  • To keep Rise secure and fix problems. A small number of Rise staff (administrators) can access account and team data to provide support and fix problems.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't show ads.

AI features

Some Rise features send data to AI models through the Lovable AI gateway (our app platform's AI service). [Name the underlying model providers and say whether they store the data or use it for training.] The data sent can include:

  • a pitcher's practice numbers
  • their level
  • their notes
  • their game stats
  • images of stat sheets a coach uploads

The features are:

  • readiness tips for newer pitchers
  • pitching summaries
  • reading uploaded game stat sheets

AI output can be wrong. It isn't medical advice.

Who can see what

  • The coach. The team's coach (one coach account per team) sees the team's pitchers and data.
  • Players with a login see and log data for their own pitcher only.
  • Parents with a login see their own pitcher(s) only. They can log at-home bullpens for them, but can't edit or delete existing data. Sets they log are marked as logged by a parent for the coach.
  • Anyone with a share link (only if the coach has turned sharing on for that pitcher) can see that pitcher's progress page, read-only, including full history.
    • The page shows: the pitcher's name, age (if set), team name and logo, and practice numbers (sets, strikes, pitch types and dates).
    • It doesn't show notes.
    • Search engines are asked not to index it.
    • Treat the link like a password. Coaches can turn the link off at any time.
  • Rise administrators, as described above.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run Rise:

  • Lovable and Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase): hosting, database, file storage, sign-in, analytics and the AI gateway
  • Stripe: payments and sales tax
  • [Email provider]
  • [AI model providers behind the Lovable AI gateway]
  • Google, if you sign in with Google

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our rights. If Rise is sold or merged, data may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

How long we keep it

  • We keep a team's data while the coach's account exists, including after a team moves from Rise Team to Free. Free coach views show the last 30 days, but older data isn't deleted.
  • Mechanics video clips are deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • If a coach deletes their account or team, we delete the team's data within [30] days, except what we must keep for legal or payment records. [Confirm the app supports this, or describe the email request process.]
  • [Set a rule for teams inactive for a long time, if you want one.]

Your choices and requests

  • Coaches can:
    • edit, archive or remove pitchers
    • turn share links on or off
    • remove invited parents and players
  • Anyone can ask us to see, correct, or delete their data, or their child's data, by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL]. We'll respond within 30 days. If a parent asks us to delete their child's data, we'll do it and tell the coach. [Lawyer to confirm the process.]
  • You can turn off the welcome, invite and Monday summary emails at any time. Service emails about your account or payments (receipts, renewal and plan-change notices) may still be sent. [Confirm with your lawyer, and see open item O16 in the spec.]

Children and young athletes

Rise is meant to be set up by adult coaches.

  • Parents give consent. When a parent connects to their pitcher, Rise shows what we collect about her, why, who sees it and how long it's kept, and asks the parent to consent. We record who consented, when, and which version of the notice they saw. A coach can't consent for a family: a coach's confirmation when adding a pitcher is only a temporary record until a parent confirms, and it lasts 30 days. After that, sharing and new invites pause for that pitcher until a parent gives consent.
  • Withdrawing consent: a parent can withdraw consent at any time from My pitchers. That pauses new tracking for that pitcher by anyone (coach bullpens, at-home bullpens, live logging and game imports), the share link, new invites and an under-13 player's own login. Her coach can still see her saved history. Saved data isn't deleted automatically; parents can ask for deletion or a copy with the in-app "Request deletion or a copy" button or by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL]. We'll respond within 30 days.
  • Players under 13 can't create their own Rise login unless a linked parent has given consent and approved it. Otherwise their coach logs for them, and parents can log at-home bullpens and follow along with a parent login, or follow by share link. A player under 13 (or with no birth date on file) can use a login only after a parent gives consent and approves that specific login; the parent can turn it off at any time.
  • Players 13 and over need a coach invite to get a login.

[Lawyer to confirm the age rules and consent process. See the note at the top.] If you believe a child's data was added without permission, email [CONTACT EMAIL] or use "Request deletion or a copy" in the app, and we'll remove it. We'll respond within 30 days.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect data, such as encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.

Changes

We'll post changes here and update the effective date. For important changes, we'll tell coaches by email or in the app.
